My name is David Suriano and I’m a UI/UX designer with over 12 years of experience exploring visual solutions to digital problems. I was most recently the Lead Designer for The Center for Investigative Reporting in Emeryville, CA, a non-profit organization that holds the powerful accountable by producing journalism that moves citizens to action.
I also acted as the front-end developer because non-profits need all the help they can get, and I get an immense satisfaction in bringing my designs to life through clean, structured, and reusable code that works across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
The older I get, the more I realize the importance of stepping away from the screen. When I’m not pushing pixels, you can find me riding my Triumph Bonneville in search of remote two-lane roads, playing a round of golf at the local Muni, teaching myself how to play the mandolin after a life of drumming, and doing a variety of silly things to my make son and family smile.
