I was contacted to redesign the user interface (Thesis for WordPress) and give it a unique / edgy aesthetic that would focus on the content using a magazine presentation for usability as well as encourage more reader participation and generate revenue thru member registration.

I was contacted to update and redesign the user interface of their online training application to match the existing USIP website as well as provide clean, structured XHTML / CSS to be integrated into their custom CMS that utilizes Microsoft Word documents as the primary source of data.

I designed the front-end of this website for a services firm whose aim was to promote their products and incorporate a company blog.

After learning they were undecided on the website structure, but knew they wanted a "business professional" look and that it would use WordPress, I came up with a concept that was optimized for easy CMS integration as well as fast page loading various monitor resolutions.

This front-end website design was for a small photo blog that was focused on delivering 1-2 featured photos per day.

I kept the design simple in order to emphasize the photography while using an accent color that leads the eyes to relevant action items. I also designed an image gallery layout, a biography page and a contact page with styled web form.

Kitchen Cooked is a family owned snack company located near Central Illinois. They craft small batches of the most delicious kettle chips you've ever tasted, but their default osCommerce website left quite the opposite taste in customers mouths.

After our creative brief, I designed the front-end to be "eye-catching" while including company branding and advertising their best selling products. They fell in love with the new design, and I did it all without ever meeting face-to-face.

Ideal Troy Cleaners has been in business since 1914, is family owned and operated, and a true part of the Peoria, Illinois community. They pride their business on professional quality cleaning and wanted a front-end website design to reflect these ideals.

By using quality textures and polished details such as hand sewn elements, I was able to convey the right image while making it easy for customers to find relevant information such as current coupons and store locations.

Velos is a leading provider of next-generation online healthcare software with over 120 healthcare organizations (including 20 of the top 25 in the U.S.) using their flagship product for clinical trials - eResearch.

I was contacted by the VP of Product Management to redesign the eResearch user interface in order to make the experience more intuitive by organizing massive amounts of data into presentable and logical sections. I used minimal graphics to maximize load times and javascript to enhance the web app user experience.

Endovascular Therapies Fellowship Training (ETFT) is a hands-on endovascular surgery training program with Dr. James B. Williams.

I assisted Dr. Williams secretary in creating graphical designs for their website that advertises the unique one-on-one training program while conforming to specific aesthetic requests such as color and imagery. I also created 3 logo design concepts and managed a last minute business card project which I designed, printed and had delivered to a medical trade show (1,800+ miles away) all in the same business day.

After collectively deciding on a glossy web 2.0 scheme and a few of the graphical elements, I created the website graphic design with multiple content modules to strategically plant little patches of organically grown SEO techniques throughout the site.

With a brand new race car and hankering for a website redesign, Team Blackhurst approached me and said "Here's a photo we want to use and our team colors are blue and silver."

Armed with nothing more than a picture and those words, I set out to create a delicious website design using an asphalt textured background stacked high with metallic elements coated in custom carbon fiber, and topped with a flashy Photoshop'd race car. A recipe sure to please any kid and his friends (AND it did!)
